BlackGX Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 I am a newbie in this forum. I just got a CPO 2011 GX460 with 6600miles on it. I did not slide the audio panel cover down when I test drive it so I did not see the orange airbag light was on or off. When I drive it home yesterday and test a CD, I saw the orange light is ON. This light is just under the "Passenger" that is printed on the plastic of the panel. Does anyone know this is normal or I should go to dealer to get it checked? Thanks, BlackGX 2011 GX460 base, Black/Black Nav/Mark Levinson, Rear DVD
SW03ES Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 Was there a passenger in the vehicle? It will note that the airbag is "ON" when there's a passenger in the vehicle.

SW03ES Posted May 18, 2012 Posted May 18, 2012 I'll look at mine today and see if its on all the time, maybe it is...
xxstewart Posted May 19, 2012 Posted May 19, 2012 The passenger light will also illuminate when you place an object on the passenger seat. The owners manual may indicate the trigger weight, but 10 to 15 lbs makes my GX passenger light come on. If the light is on and the seat is empty, it's likely a defective sensor or wiring to the sensor.
