Frank I
I just purchased a 2002 SC 430 with 41600 miles for use as a summer car. Everything works and the car was fully serviced prior to purchase, however given the age and high cost of repairs I am considering an aftermarket warranty. I would appreciate any information on reputable company's, service plans, and do any cover the convertible top mechanism.Thank you.
1990LS400
I can't imagine a service warranty on a 10 year old car being cost effective. They are usually a bad deal on new cars unless you get them at the true wholesale cost and they are to cover a vehicle with known quality issues. Here is an interesting article about automobile service warranties: http://www.consumerr...rranties-ov.htm
pj8708
I agree. Any major repair that comes up would cost more than the premium for the warrany And in an accident, the car insurance company will total the car . Sorry. Paul
