How much does is cost for a replacement of calipers, rotors and brake pads for a IS300?

Mine is 2002 and 94000 miles.

The Monro Brakes/Tires guy told me that it would cost me $800 for a replacement of my rear calipers, rotors and brake pads.

Does it sound reasonable?

Why do your calipers need replacing? That's seems unusual. And are the rotors worn down below the minimum specification? Can't they just be machined? I would expect your rotors to last much longer - 200,000 miles plus. And are your brake pads worn down to 1 mm which is usually the minimum thickness on Toyota/Lexus vehicles. Normally a rear brake job including machining the rotors and replacing the pads with OEM pads should run between $200 and $250 from my experience.

Maybe you have a problem but it sounds like they are trying to milk you as much as they can. Maybe find an independent shop specializing in Lexus or just take it to a Lexus dealer.

It sounds very nice to me. What I also wanna know is the price of a single caliper, or maybe a pair. Do you have any ideas? Thx!

I haven't bought from this company but it was the first one that came up when I searched on the part number: http://www.lexuspartsnow.com/components/2004-lexus-is300~rear-disc-brake-caliper-dust-cover-47-07-1608.html

The page says "2004" but http://www.toyodiy.com/parts/p_U_2002_LEXUS_IS300_JCE10L-AEAVFA_4707.html gives the same part number for the 2002 IS.

I took my car to the Lexus dealer this morning, and they said they could fix it with 150 dollars. Thank you very much man!

you can buy supra fronts and OEM rear calipers + all new rotors for around 1100... 800 for just the OEM rears is a rip. Can you replace it yourself? You'd save a lot if you can, its not hard.
