Rx400H - Snow Tires Or New Wheels & Tires

Reading thru tirerack.com, learned that the best performing snowtire is a Michelin X-ice Xi2 that IS NOT MADE for the wheels on my FWD 400h. I CAN buy new wheels to get these tires. Wondered what your advice is, on specific snow tires, and whether I should make the investment in new wheels. I will be spending ski season in CO near Vail.

It would help if you gave us the model year and wheel/tire size. For winter tires, I'd bet there are better choices than Michelins. Having separate wheels for your winter tires is more expensive but a lot less hassle.

Based upon the forum name, I'd quess the OP has 235/55/18 tires.
