rfcbuf Posted February 23, 2011 Posted February 23, 2011 My 2004 RX 330 (all wheel drive) gets only 25,ooo miles on brakes and rotors. Is this to be expected on an all wheel drive SUV?
lenore Posted February 23, 2011 Posted February 23, 2011 I would not think so...My RX300 goes around 70k plus on the fronts and 60k plus on the rears...we have AWD. Are you using aftermarket pads? If so stick with Ceramics....
Andi2005 Posted February 23, 2011 Posted February 23, 2011 I had to replace the brakes/pads at around 28k miles on my 2005 RX,330. At the time the dealerships said that was a bit early but not an outlier. Depends on how you drive & where you drive. Sharp braking to avoid potholes (as I do all too often) will accelerate brake wear & tear. Driving in FL where you have to take (pothole-free) highways to get anywhere, your brakes *probably* will last longer.
Ericok Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 I still have my original RX-300 rotors at 110,000 miles. I changed my brake pads at 60K and am only on my second set.
