TX1911fan Posted January 24, 2011 Posted January 24, 2011 I have a '07 IS250 with wood trim. I bought it used, and the previous owner was not terribly careful with the center console trim. It has several fine scratches. Is there an easy way to buff these out? What do you guys recommend?

SW03ES Posted January 25, 2011 Posted January 25, 2011 I'd try a plastic polish like Novus, Plexus, or Meguiars PlastX...

cduluk Posted January 30, 2011 Posted January 30, 2011 If they're deep enough to feel with your fingernail you can try wet-sanding the entire panel with 2000 grit sandpaper and machine polishing with a rubbing compound. The clear on the wood panels is an acrylic, so any polish will work. Just don't wetsand unless you've removed the panels from the car and have a machine to polish with. NEVER try to do it by hand as it'll take too much time. <_<
TX1911fan Posted February 1, 2011 Author Posted February 1, 2011 There are 2 I can feel, so I'm going to leave those. The rest, I'll try some polish. Thanks guys.
