dj renegade Posted November 7, 2010 Posted November 7, 2010 Good afternoon/morning I have a major headache with my 1998 GS300SE. Last night when I finished work I opened the car with the key fob as usual, put the key into the ignition, the steering wheel auto-adjusted, the radio & lights came on, however when I turned the key to fire the engine there was a click and all the power for the whole car went dead. I had to wait 20 mins for the power to come back on. I then tried to start the car again and the same thing happened, all power was lost. The car is currently stranded in the middle of town as I cannot start it! Any ideas on how to get round this problem??? The key fob case is cracked and the key blade wobbles a bit, would this effect the immobilizer? Many thanks
dcfish Posted November 7, 2010 Posted November 7, 2010 Maybe you need a new battery, Or check the battery terminals and cables B) A loose key case shouldn't make a difference, But I would seek out a new key case or two, Get new batteries also. Welcome to the club
dj renegade Posted November 7, 2010 Author Posted November 7, 2010 Fixed, many thanks. Bl**dy battery connections!!
