TWINTURBO619 Posted February 13, 2004 Share Posted February 13, 2004 short arms are crap loss of power ,mileage just added noise and slight increase in inital powerband as more efficent flow than a stock intake,but it sucks hot engine bay air which lowers the overall input of the engine a cai is the only way to go cold air so increase power and mileage and a nice noise also i must agree with skperformance , cold air intake is the best way to go by a long shot. think of it this way, when you see guys run on the track, some of ice cubs inside their intake to run even colder air so they can get the most output they can from their block. so if you're running the cold air intake underneath your wheel well, the centricular force of your tire spin will automatically kick up the cold air that is circulating under your wheel well. but like skperformance posted, cold air will produce some power as oposed to the short air intake, which sucks a nut. good luck on your decision.
