es300man Posted February 4, 2004 Posted February 4, 2004 Does anybody know where to get a Master key for a 1993 ES300? The dealer wants $250 for the key and programming. OUCH!! :(
xsohaib Posted February 4, 2004 Posted February 4, 2004 Look on ebay for keyword "Lexus Key", I got locked out once and the dealer in TX gave me the option of either getting a generic one for $65 or an original one for $150, I would suggest looking at ebay first. Sohaib
adawnh Posted February 5, 2004 Posted February 5, 2004 I purchased a new key for my '97 ES300 through my local Toyota Dealership for $70. I do most of my work through them because it is the same as a Camry; I save money that way!

adawnh Posted February 5, 2004 Posted February 5, 2004 The key had to be ordered, using my VIN; it is one of those funky inverted keys so it cannot be copied. Yes, my car is a '97!
xsohaib Posted February 5, 2004 Posted February 5, 2004 Usually they can put the VIN number in a machine and the machine makes the key. At least thats the way my dealer in Texas did, all I had to do was provide them with proof of ownership prior to them making me a key (I had lost mine), I wonder how they expected me to do that with the car locked and me having no keys, I showed them my name on previous service records that they had with my name but they would not agree!
