If so How many computers control the engine. I want to make sure I take everything out that is needed. Also How many computers control the Auto/Tiptronic transmission? Supra-chargedIS340 Posted March 4, 2003 Share Posted March 4, 2003 well modern lexus are fitted with a multiplex system, there are 6 ecu fitted to the is300 for things like engine(and gearbox if auto) power windows moonroof alarm and security features aircon and radio features and there is a seperate ecu to power the instument cluster Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
AWJ Posted March 6, 2003 Share Posted March 6, 2003 I am in agreement. It seems you want to know how many control the engine and tranny alone? That should be one for both.
