cappy2112 Posted January 2, 2010 Posted January 2, 2010 My wife's coworker bought floor mats for her Lexus, which are mostly rubber as opposed to carpet, for the rainy winter months here in California. I never buy anything from dealers unless i have no choice. Are there any websites you can recommend for Lexus non-carpeted floor mats or accessories in general? Thanks
bartkat Posted January 2, 2010 Posted January 2, 2010 I don't think you'd want to be putting any floor mats in the car right now. In fact, Lexus is recommending removing the carpeted driver side mats due to problems with unintended acceleration. http://www.consumersearch.com/blog/massive...eleration-issue

It will probably be a long time until we receive the recall letter, since it affects so many cars.

They say they are going to shorten the pedal, later install a different design pedal. I took out my stock mat just to err on the safe side in case anything did happen I'd be covered. Just for kicks I have gone out and practiced throwing the shifter in neutral. :D
