Check Engine Light And Trac Off Light

Recently my 2001 ES300 had its Check Engine and TRAC Off lights come "on".

Code check indicates a P0440 -- EVAP Emission Control Malfunction.

The threads on this forum lead me to believe that the charcoal canister and/or vacuum control switch might be the problem.

Any pics or documents out there to show me where these things are?

replace your gas cap and you'll be fine. try to get the gas cap from the dealer. Good Luck!

Do you have to replace the "whole" gas cap, or can you just replace the O-Ring?

well i would say replace the whole gas cap.....but thats just me..i would be too lazy to do all that, if you could afford the car.... you could afford the gas cap too. Good Luck!
