Does anyone have experience of having one key programmed to operate two different cars?

My wife and I share the IS250 and the LS460, can we get the keys or cars programmed so we only have to carry one key each? (The keys appear identical)

:o Why would want it to do that. Just asking. Would you always want the trunks to open together, the windows to go up and down, the cars to both unlock, lock, etc. Unless you had a key fob where you could selt one or the other cars, like a tv remote that controls the CD, TV Tivo, all on the same unit.

I can understand why. Both his cars have the smart key, so he never uses the buttons on the fob, the doors unlock when he puts his hand on the handles and he uses the start button to start the car...hence why it would be a benefit to have both on the same key...
