Dot Posted August 11, 2009 Posted August 11, 2009 I noticed a small scratch on the side of my car. It wasn't deep...more like a simple paper cut to my car. Really hard to notice but my cousin decided to use a touch up basecoat paint pen on it and it made it worse. Now, it looks like a smudge. Like someone took a simple marker and squiggle on it :o I don't want to make it any worse. What should I do? I don't know much about paints and I refuse to let my cousin do anything more to it. Jeffstpetebeach Posted August 11, 2009 Posted August 11, 2009 was the touch up pen(paint) the same color thats on your car. Or is a different color.
LEXIRX330 Posted August 12, 2009 Posted August 12, 2009 If it is just a small scratch and not down to the metal the best thing would be to try to have it buffed out. You may want to use a product like scatch x and see if you can remove it, it might even take off the touch up paint. You may get some more help if you posted a pic by the way. Good luck.
