CTL_Ls400 Posted July 12, 2009 Share Posted July 12, 2009 Hello Im a lil new and I love my 92 ls400. I have a couple questions about it. 1. Do they sell emmission chips for better gas milage? 2. Wheres the best website that has good prices for rims and body kits? 3. Does anyone know what the stock alternator amperage is on a 92 ls400? VBdenny Posted July 13, 2009 Share Posted July 13, 2009 I can answer the first and third questions easily. Don't. These cars get very good milage for a heavy V-8 car. I get 18 in town (and I use the pedal) and 25-27 on the highway and I drive fast. For the flicker, buy a Optima RedTop battery and you flicker issue will be gone. jcrome04 Posted July 15, 2009 Share Posted July 15, 2009 Best MPG I've got it 30.3. and there was still room for improvement. You need a capacitor for your system... An optima battery wont stop the lights from dimming. As the draw from the subs strains on the alternator when the car is running.
