lexfourcam Posted July 10, 2009 Share Posted July 10, 2009 so heres the new problem. ive got my car back it runs great the tranny shifts phenomenal. my mechanic pulled out the plugs that had been changed about 2k miles ago, and they're black. my exhaust is black, i have an egr delete kit b/c of the ss headers, no cats and got the exhaust leaks fixed. about 6 months ago though the car jumped timing. it got reset and im wondering if the timing is still off just a bit, could that cause it to run rich? im freaking out guys i want this thing fixed! seems like theres more pressure coming out of one side of the passenger side exhaust than the driver. lexfourcam Posted July 10, 2009 Author Share Posted July 10, 2009 timing was off 2 teeth on the left cam pulley, it still ran on 8 cylinders but the valves were opening at different times and it was running rich the timing was a little bit advanced.
