speedingstang38 Posted July 8, 2009 Share Posted July 8, 2009 My 2003 ES300 I just bought needed both headlights and it has the HID's so I bought a set and put in but they are missing the HID headlight computer control. I bought the one pictured below off eBay because it said its for an 03 es300 but people are telling me to not put it in cause its the wrong one and will blow a main computer...Is this true? can anyone help me to know if this will work or not. steviej Posted July 9, 2009 Share Posted July 9, 2009 The number listed under the Toyota name (85967 51020) lists here as 8596751020 MSRP $983.80 Price $836.23 Front lamps - Headlamp components - Computer Computer Back - Us built W/hid, w/adaptive lighting 2004 - 2009 However, the ES is not a US built car so that is contradictory. The 03 ES does not have adaptive lighting either. On the plus side, the 03ES, if it has HID does use the D2R bulb which is listed on the left side of the sticket next to the triangle symbol. If you search this same website under a 2003 ES for the same part you are directed here.
