I've just sold my 05 545i (didn't like rough tranmission on V8).

I've looked around but not much choice for me.

One I found is 2006 GS430 black on black, 29k miles, Mark Levinson, Nav

I think I can make it at $27000.

What do you think?

Another choice is 2006 MBZ E350 44k mile, no option, but $17000.

I bought a similar vehicle, silver over black, with 52k miles and G Spider wheels for 23k last month. Added an after market 4/50k warranty for just under 2k. I would say 27k is not bad for the mileage.

Good deal IMO..I paid 27k for mine 7 mo's ago with 12k more miles!

Make sure the GS doesnt have any dash rattles. The GS line is famous for rattle problems especially the 06.

I would go GS all the way - as a former owner of a few Mercedes, anytime you take it in for repair, you're looking at $1000 easily. As with any European (and especially German cars), no matter what, the parts are going to be outrageous - I have a buddy who is an Audi freak and he is constantly having to shell out money for repairs on those vehicles (just shelled out another $1k on his S4 a few weeks ago) - I'm trying to show him the light with Lexus... At any rate, with 44k miles you'll be safe for a few years, but once the odometer rolls 90k or so, look out!
