396chevy Posted April 22, 2009 Share Posted April 22, 2009 Hello and i recently bought a 2000 lexus ls400 with 180k and every time i fill up my gas tank it overflows, i mean it clicks off then 1/2 sec later fuel comes spilling out? nc211 Posted April 23, 2009 Share Posted April 23, 2009 I think there is some sort of pressure cannister in the area of the filler neck that is probably ready to be replaced. I think, I can't quite recall. Or maybe you're sticking the fuel pump too far down the neck of the filler? You're not trying to "top it off" are you? Because it'll definetely kick-back on you then, every time. I think it's a "toyota" thing in general, as our 4runner will do the same thing if I try to "top" it off.
