blake918 Posted January 6, 2004 Posted January 6, 2004 The RE92 Bridgestone Potenzas on my ES drive me nuts. I like to keep them at 44psi for a firmer ride. However, the front two deflate to probably 30-35psi and stay there . They never go flat. It's only the front two that do this; the rears hold the pressure fine. What gives???
jdmparts_guru Posted January 6, 2004 Posted January 6, 2004 probably you have some small holes in your front tires. What you can do is to change the rear tires with the front tires and then check if it still happens.
steviej Posted January 7, 2004 Posted January 7, 2004 check your valve stems, it may be they leak at the base when the tire is really inflated and as it deflates the tires sag enough to close off the tiny leaks. sj
SW03ES Posted January 7, 2004 Posted January 7, 2004 Mine are the same way, I've been told they're just crappy tires...
blake918 Posted January 7, 2004 Author Posted January 7, 2004 Mine are the same way, I've been told they're just crappy tires... Hahaha :D lmao. I have removed the little needle valve things in the stem to reset the seal, and that did no good. I think I'll bring the car and have the tires checked for leaks. Thanks for the suggestions.
99lsguy Posted January 8, 2004 Posted January 8, 2004 The "seating" between the tire and rim can also be a problem. Most places rub a compound around the inside lining of the tire to help it "seal" around the rim. Good luck. Steve, I hear ya -- I want new tires too
