Basically, open the glovebox, remove the little cut-out panel, and that should give you pretty much direct access to the A/C filter. lil; If you follow the instructions above, You will find that after having done it once, "yes it is a bit goofy, but yes, it is very simple". It's one of those subjects/fixes that looks a lot more complicated than what it really is. Consider buying a good HEPA furnace filter ($12), cutting pieces (equivalent of about $ 3.00) out of it & re-fitting a piece where the old filter was. It works fine, I've been doing it for years. The biggest benefit I've found ( besides cost) is higher airflow & colder A/C. The aftermarket replacements are about $ 18.00 & genuine Lexus are about $ 35.00.
