blacklexus90 Posted January 26, 2009 Share Posted January 26, 2009 :( I have a 1992 lexus ls 400,I have been trying to get the rear seat out.I have been told to pull the 2 black taps to release the bottom seat,well nothing.Can some 1 give me some advice on how to get this seat out??? 1990LS400 Posted January 26, 2009 Share Posted January 26, 2009 Pull the tabs again while lifting the bottom front edge of the seat cushion. I usually had to grab the tabs with pliers in order to pull them far enough forward to release the seat cushion. If you can, remove the little plastic tab covers so you don't ruin them with the pliers and slip them back on when you are done. Their main purpose (I think) is to prevent scratching the legs of rear seat passengers. I removed the rear seat cushion of the 90 LS I had countless times so I could pile in coolers, camping and canoe gear. It made a nice SUV!
