While jump start my RX300 to get to the shop I put reverse cable from my donor IS. :( Big spark. Nothing too bad. Reconnected in a correct way. No problem, no fuse blown, everything appear to be fine. While running alternator shows around normal 14.5v. On the next day: CEL turned ON. My guess that my recent "reversal" or recent filer/oil replacement would some how related to CEL. I am going to check for codes tomorrow. Any clues, please? Paticake Posted December 21, 2008 Share Posted December 21, 2008 Check the hose behind the air filter box. It sometimes comes loose if they checked your air filter. If that's not it, have an AutoZone or Car parts store read the code and then post here. You might want to check your gas cap also. If it's not on tight enough it'll throw a CEL. Keep us informed.
