Demented Sc400
Whats up everybody, i was wondering if any of the sc400 owners have done their own exhaust before? im wantin to increase the size to 2.5" and change out the mufflers. My friend and I both know how to weld and he has a welding gun as well as ramps. Any input on cost saving, sound quality, and overall difficulty would be appreciated. Thanks fellow lexus owners
LexSC400328
Well the only thing is that you would need enough ground clearence to get a saw blade under there (preferably a power blade) to make a clean cut...i would try it yourself because i spent 500 bucks to watch guys do a job easy enough for me to do with the right tools and im dissapointed with how quiet mine is... Blayd
You need to bar weld the top section to, youl never get the gun to get between the pipe and the undercarrage. Its simple but you may not have the tools for that with basic welding equipment.
VJZ
If you're on a budget: Cut the mufflers and run pipe straight back and the find some nice tips (or reuse the stock ones). Sounds great!
