tonyw Posted August 28, 2008 Author Posted August 28, 2008 They look much better. So how did you do it, how long did it take? This really didn't take that long to do. The car is not at my house so I did them one at a time. the longest part was sanding them down, there were a lot of deep surface gouges but with a drill and steel wire cup about 20 minutes per wheel. there is some tutorials on youtube, and on duplicolors website on how to's, that's what I went bye. I think there are 4 colors and a clearcoat, diffenetly do the clearcoat it is whorth it.
UCF3 Posted August 28, 2008 Posted August 28, 2008 Very nice. No thoughts on giving then a darker finish?
tonyw Posted August 28, 2008 Author Posted August 28, 2008 Very nice. No thoughts on giving then a darker finish? I actually gave it a real hard thought on going with a black finish, because it would hide any brake dust, but if I don't get the car running it really won't matter, because I will just part it all out.
UCF3 Posted August 29, 2008 Posted August 29, 2008 I was thinking gun-metal, but you've gotta do what you have to do first.
