Tail Light Problem

a friend of mine has a 92 and his tail lights are giving him problems, there is a box(with many wires going to it) mounted in the rear on the left of the sub woofer, i took mine out and placed it in his car and they all work fine.....where can i get one of these boxes for him? they are like close to 300 dollars at the dealer!

Before replacing the black box have you checked the wiring loom in the trunk that goes under the left side (drivers) hinge as this is the common cause of many faults including yours, the wires in the loom break.

By fitting your unit it may have disturbed this loom and caused it to work again.

I have never heard of this unit failing before has it got water in it?

If you do need one I would try ebay for a parting out vehicle.
