jasond86
I'm curious, I've seen lots of appearance modifications but almost no performance work. has anyone on here done any mods to their engine besides just air intake? If so what have you done and about how much horsepower/torque do you have/think you have? and what would be the cheapest way to get above 300hp on a 98 LS? and does anybody know what the UCF20-II is called in japan? jcrome04
www.clublexus.com is a lot more into mods than here. They have tons of info stickied on many topics. I've just done K&N air filter, and mufflers. maybe I got 4.3256 hp out of the deal (if even that) but I wasn't exactly looking for power, mainly sound. And I think my cruising MPG increased a little. Cheapest way to get over 300hp? I'm assuming crank and not RWHP, considering the UCF20-II has 270hp 280ft lbs, I'd start with full exhaust system and a "JBrady" or "Lexkost" intake set-up (intakes and exhaust well documented on CL) plugs? wires?? Lexus LS's in Japan and other countries around the world were Toyota Celsior's
