th12owback
I am new to this site and have a question regarding the keyless entry on my rx300. apparently the unlock/lock buttons work on all of the the passenger doors but not on the drivers side door. I have been browzing through this site and have seen answers that involve accuators and so forth. I was just wondering was other problems might it be? and is it something i can do myself or should i take it somewhere and have someone look into it. i am really stumped on this one. if someone can please help i would really appreciate it. thanks in advance. lenore
There is plenty of info on this forum, the lock actuator solenoid is probably bad, They are not cheap $250 just for the part, and I dont know how much a dealership or mechanic would charge in labor. I did mine myself. Finding all of the hidden screws in the door panel is the worst thing. good luck
tjmc11
Lenore is right....as usaul.....the door panel screws are the hardest thing about that job I think.....it is doable for a shade tree mechanic. I would almost bet money it is the solenoid.
janmariet
I am having the same problem. Took my RX330 in 2 days ago and was told that it might start working again on it's own. The service tech said that it was a $500 repair. My warranty was up 2 months ago. Guess I'll just wait and see.
