OmarG Posted November 5, 2007 Share Posted November 5, 2007 So my car had its first break down today. I'm pretty sad that my car broke down but at least i wasn't stranded on the side of the road. The serpentine belt broke because the fan pulley and the drive belt pulley both seized on me. I noticed a knocking sound and was freaking out but was really far from home. My car just turned 240k today so i've driven 30k in 1 year and 4 months. They've been some serene trouble free miles so I'm pretty pleased. Its only gonna be about $200 in parts and a couple hours labor. I think its pretty DIY. I'm still in love with my car. But i have one break down under my belt... oh well. Carlad Posted October 12, 2022 Share Posted October 12, 2022 I have a 2022 Lexus RX. Bought it brand new four months ago. Two weeks ago the battery had to be replaced. That was kind of ok, but today. Today the needle went all the way to H(hot). I called a service advisor who said have it towed. I am angry. Towing my car already? I’m en route to the dealership (2.5 hour drive). I’m missing work. RX400h Posted October 12, 2022 Share Posted October 12, 2022 If this were a common problem, then perhaps drastic measures of change are required, but I have not noticed dozens forum members complaining about having this issue.
