small_boy Posted October 13, 2007 Posted October 13, 2007 I need to have my cell phone charging even with the ignition off. Its really annoying that lexus does not have a plug which is always hot, because I do not drive enough to keep my cell phone charged. I realize my battery may be drained, but I doubt that will happen.
Rogerm Posted October 30, 2007 Posted October 30, 2007 I have the same question... I'd like ALL three plugs to be hot alll the time. Even one would be fine. Or I could add one some where, but the most basic question is WHERE do you tap into the power and related... what fuse would it use? Roger
JIBBBY Posted October 30, 2007 Posted October 30, 2007 The ignition fuse on the SC's worked for me... If that is not a go, get a power tester for $5 at any parts store, make contact with each fuse with the tester until the little bulb on the tester pointer illuminates...Very simple and basic... Then run a wire from inbetween the fuse and connection and that will be your all time hotwire... Last resort just run a single hot wire directly from the positive battery lead, and then run the wire thru the floor board and into the cabin area for your hookup...
