Brendon Bosy Posted October 12, 2007 Posted October 12, 2007 I've been looking on the specs of the SC400/300 according to lexus.com, and it appears that between 1996-1997, the size of the car grew. Here is what I mean: http://www.lexus.com/contact/pdf/1996/1996SCspecs.pdf http://www.lexus.com/contact/pdf/1997/1997SCspecs.pdf As you can see, the SCs made before 1997 were 191.1" long and 70.5" wide. After 1997, they grew to 192.5" and 70.9" respectively. Is this true? The reason why I'm asking is because I'm looking at modifying my 92' SC400's exterior to the 1997-2000 style, with the updated front bumper, side skirts, rear bumper, spoiler, and taillights. I had always assumed the parts were interchangable between different years, but now I'm worried that the newer parts wont fit.
JIBBBY Posted October 12, 2007 Posted October 12, 2007 Sorry bro, if I remember correctly the 97 front end will not fit...95 is newest you can go...Not a 100% sure because it has been a while since I looked into that...I too was looking to install the newer front end on my 92 and got shut down....
grnsc40095 Posted October 13, 2007 Posted October 13, 2007 Brendon Bosy, A swap is possible, according to Tucked SC results. Click on the links below. http://www.clublexus.com/forums/showthread...fitment+bumpers http://forums.nycmaximas.org/showthread.ph...5070#post305070
