prairie243 Posted September 9, 2003 Posted September 9, 2003 I own an IS200 in France. I have moved to the US (California.) Can anyone give me some advice on whether or not I should try to import the car? What duties/taxes must I pay? and What changes do I need to make to the car? Thanks!!
SKperformance Posted September 9, 2003 Posted September 9, 2003 all these questions need to be asked to the goverment only they can give you specifics if the car you have is bone stock then i wouldn't bother trying to get it here as the shipping would be a few grand and the IS 300 is a nicer engine to have so it is worth selling it and buying another here as the cars are also cheaper but taxes and duties are up to the goverment and how long you are here and where in france
prairie243 Posted September 9, 2003 Author Posted September 9, 2003 has anyone else been thru the import experience with an IS200?
ozarra Posted September 11, 2003 Posted September 11, 2003 Hey, tu parles francais? I have done it before on a Mercedes through belgium :D
bartkat Posted September 14, 2003 Posted September 14, 2003 California may be tough to get it CARB certified.
