shawnberry45
I have a 2002 GS430...It has 17 inch rims stock but chrome I plan on keeping.... the car has about 100k and I was thinking up upgrading the suspension... I love the smooth ride of the lexus..I occasionally get wild on it..but thats once inawhile.. my question is... should I replace only the shocks and struts? if so what kind? Also would now be a good time to change out the springs? if so what kind? I wouldnt mind a 1 inch drop..but dont wnat to sacrifice the ride quality. thanks for your help!!! CarbonGS
at 100K you want to change out your shocks too. check out te pricing on eibach pro kits and kyb shocks. that's what i roll on and everyone who has ever driven or ridden shotgun with me has loved it
BlexusGS
Get some coilovers...I just picked up a set of Bilstein PSS used; they are not installed as of yet and heard that the ride quality is great. The Tein CS coilovers are nice too.
smooth1
Tein CS coilovers. The absolute way to go. Fully adjustable, and the new bushings make the car ride much quieter. I was very surprised. I dropped it about 1 inch. I still get a smooth as glass ride, and no harshness at all. When I sling it hard in corner there is no floating and the body roll is way less. They are expensive though. They sell retail for around 1500.00, and I've seen them for as low as 1275.00 . You can go here http://www.raceinspired.com/default.aspx and look at alot of different suspension components.
