Location Of Nav Dvd In Rx330?

Recommended Posts

I have a 05 RX330. I recently purchased the upgrade DVD for the navigation. I have looked all over the car (under pass seat, under compartments in back hatch area, etc). I cannot find the DVD unit for the NAV. I am probably missing an obvious place...any help, please? Also, my understanding of the procedure to replace the disc is to:

1. turn on car

2. Press "I agree"

3. eject the old disk

4.Insert new disc

5. Let upgrade occur automatically with new disc.

Is this correct? Are there any pitfalls or info I need to know?

I tried to find this info using the search function in past forums, but could not find it.

Thanks!

Steve

That's a start Steve, can you be any more specific for me too? Sorry to be so thick.

Greetings from Australia to you all.

Steve your instructions were perfect.

I located the DVD player in the boot area.

As said before:

To Update your satellite navigation in your RX330

1) open the rear hatch

2) open the storage bay for the jack and safety triangle etc and prop open with bar.

3) Remove the first aid kit.

4) Immediately to the right of where the first aid kit is stored is a little 6" x 1.5" access cover.

5) Press down the 2 tabs and remove the small access panel.

6) There is an unlock slider on the left hand front of the plain black DVD. Slide this to the right.

7) This reveals the eject button.

8) After turning the ignition on and pressing "I Accept" as usual. eject the old DVD and insert the new one.

9) The update runs itself and keeps you up-to-date on the screen.

10) After about 5 minutes the screen resets and asks the "I Agree" question again.

I just uploaded our local version 13 which was produced in December 2006. You could almost see all the APEC leaders ;)

Regards

Wayne
