Day Mode Navigation Missing

Recommended Posts

I am new owner of a IS250, just a few weeks old. When I first received the car, the navigation screen would dim into a "Night Mode" so the glare would not blind you when driving at night time.

Once the navigation system is in the "Night Mode", you have the option of switching it back to the "Day Mode" off the DISP button and then tapping on the "Day Mode" button. This would brighten the screen up even when the headlamps are on.

My problem is, this "Day Mode" button has disappeared in the Display screen section and the Day mode stays on glaring me at night. I have looked in the Navigation manual on page 162 it mentions that the "Day Mode" will be memorised and remain in affect if the Headlight Switch is set to ON and the "Day Mode" is activated even when the engine is turned off. Huh?

Anyhow, can anyone assist me on resetting or turning the "Night Mode" back on??

You have to adjust the instrument lighting control lower to restore the day/night mode on the NAV.

Also, the Day Mode option disappears during the day--it's only visible when it's dark out.
