Hi Folks,

Picked up a new IS350 last week and am wondering if it's possible to adjust a few features.

These are, in order of increasing importance to me,:

1) Turn off the beep on locking/unlocking (lights flashing are OK)

2) Turn off the beeps on moving w/o seat belts fastened (console lights are OK)

3) Bypass the Caution display on the nav screen each time the car is started.

After reviewing the manual, I see there are many features that can be reprogrammed by either the owner or dealership.

Does anyone know if these 3 features can be adjusted and, if so, how?

Thanks!

I don't know about the first one, but I have read somewhere here that there is a way to turn off the seatbelt beeps. I'm almost 100% sure that the nag screen cannot be avoided however....

The dealer will do the lock/unlock beep but not the others. I think you can find the seat belt warning turn off here in the forums.

I have an '07 350 and I used the instructions on this forum to remove the seat belt dinging.

Still looking for the Navigation 'I Agree' bypass option though...

The only way to get rid of the "I Agree" is to trade up to an '08...

Disabling Seat Belt Alarm

1. turn the key to the ON position which means pressing the start button twice on the new IS since it doesn't has the key, foot off the brake

2. Press the trip reset button couple of times until the ODO is displayed (not trip A or B)

3. turn the ignition to the LOCK (OFF) position

4. unbuckle the driver's seatbelt if it was buckled.

5. turn the key to the ON position again press the start button twice. when the dash lights comes on, press and hold the trip reset button and count a slow 12 seconds. (editor's note, hold it more like 30 sec)

6. while still holding the trip reset button, buckle the driver's side seatbelt.

7.and the odometer display should read "b ON" or "b OFF". toggle the beep OFF with the trip reset.

8. the process should be completed when you unbuckle or turn the key off.
