  1. I think invoice for the 250 is around $30k so $32k new isn't out of the question. THe problem is that once you start adding options the price can balloon fairly quickly (and you won't find any new ones with no options out there). Fully loaded the MSRP on a 250 can creep up to $39k so you will probably see alot of used ones in the $32-$34k range even though you might be able to buy a new one at that price if you are a shrewd negotiator.
  2. I'm almost certain that you can change the odo from miles to kms (as well as temp from F to C).
  3. The problem is that the closest dealers that will have one configured as I want it are in Ohio. I'm in Georgia.
  4. I really want the cashmere interior but am afraid it will get dirty fast (especially the light-colored carpet). What do you guys think about getting some of the black floormats instead to put over the tan carpet? Has anybody done this? I think it might look pretty good personally.....
  5. I really like the cashmere interior best but am worried about it getting dirty.....
  6. I used to have this annoying rattle in my Civic that I swore was coming from the dash. I later found out, by accident, that it was actually the passenger seat and that moving it on its tracks a little eliminated the rattle. Point is, it can be very hard to pinpoint the location of a rattle.
  7. I am looking for an obsidian/cashmere combo and haven't had too much luck myself.....
  8. Just curious if anybody here has special ordered their car from Lexus and if so, how long did it take to deliver? The Jax Lexus dealer told me around 4 months though it could be as little as 90 days. They charge $2k as a deposit. Anyway, I really want the sport package with obsidian/cashmere, ML, and nav. My research so far has led me to believe that this combo will only be available by special order. I've also been told you can only special order 08's now. Anyway, any info or opinions would be appreciated!
  9. Can someone please explain what can and cannot be used while the car is moving? I know address input and telephone #'s aren't allowed, but what about using the touch screen for stuff like the radio and a/c? Or what about other features of the nav such as zooming or changing the position of the screen? Can any of these be used while in motion? If not, it may seriously affect my intentions of buying this car. The nav system in my Civic seems better than this as you can do everything whether you are moving or not.......
  10. I don't know about the first one, but I have read somewhere here that there is a way to turn off the seatbelt beeps. I'm almost 100% sure that the nag screen cannot be avoided however....
  11. Well, I don't yet have an IS (soon, very soon), but here's my list up to current: 1 - 92 Honda Civic LX 2 - 91 Honda Accord EX 3 - 86 Honda CRX Si 4 - 96 Dodge Avenger ES 5 - 94 Honda Prelude VTEC 6 - 85 BMW 325e 7 - 93 Honda Accord SE 8 - 95 Honda Prelude VTEC 9 - 97 Ford Expedition Eddie Bauer (still have) 10 - 04 Acura TSX w/nav 11 - 06 Honda Civic Si w/ nav (still have) ;)
  12. Some have been able to convince the dealer to disconnect them. I just wish they'd turn off when the car is in Park. There is a fuse that controls the DRL's. All you have to do is find that fuse and pull it. Worked great on my Civic. CHeck the owner's manual and find that fuse....
