I recently bought a pair of taiwanese LED trunk lights..they work great however they are making my "light out" dash indicator come on. I did a search on here and found that some aftermarket lights sometimes do that. Is there an easy fix or do I have to buy another pair that are "version 2" if I do have to buy another pair any suggestions where I can go so I dont get another defective one?

thanks

I think the light out indicator only comes on when you turn your headlights on? am I correct? because if so I don't believe there is anything you can do about it, except to do some special wiring.

you are going to need load resistors.

the thing is that LED's use less energy than normal halogen bulbs. so the draw of power is less making your light ecu think that it is not getting enough power. each bulb will need a specific resistor. it can get costly. it is a pity they don't tell you this when you purchase the lights themselves.

thanks for your help guys, I am a little irritated at the ebay seller because he never mentioned that in his listing!! I went ahead and just got the OEM trunk lights (saves me the hassle)
