BillyC
My 1991 LS 400 owners manual has the following caution. "Do not disconnect the battery without first contacting the dealer." Why is that? Will I screw up some codes? Will the alarm system disable the engine? Will I have to have the car towed to the dealer for resetting? Please enlighten me as I do my own work when possible and occasionally will need to disconnect the battery. Thanks. SKperformance
it might be because you have a radio theft code meaning if the radio has one in it it will not turn on until the code goes in once the power is off
ToddLS400
I changed my battery right when I got my LS400. Nothing happenned. I had a defective battery that was bulging on the sides. It was at the end of it's warranty so I got a little credit towards the new one at NAPA.
