How Expensive Maintenance Is For Gs300?

Recommended Posts

Hi, thanks for reading my post. I'm 17 and I'm purchasing a GS300 (1998) with 100K Miles, and I was wondering if anyone would be able to help me determine how expensive the maintenance would be on this vehicle. Not exactly looking for exact prices, but I'm just making sure I'm not going to buy this car and within two months pay more for parts then what I'm paying for it. Also about how many miles can these cars accumulate without dieing? As far as I know it is in very good condition. So if anyone could please post and let me know how expensive this car is going to be to maintain I would really appreciate it.

Thank You

Was the timing belt done? Its not really that expensive, I mean the parts and fluids are not cheap like you would expect for a chrystler but you should be able to manage if you stay on top of things.

Make sure the timing belt/water pump/rad coolant/thermostat/plugs/ and all fluids/brake pads, etc... have been maintained. These cars can easily get 500k with regular maintenance kept up. Keep it clean, change the oil every 5-7k and ride the wave. Enjoy your lexus for many , many years..........
