Rear Transmission Mount Gone?

Recommended Posts

I'm getting a bit of vibration through the wheel, even at idle.

I've got under the car and checked the rear transmission mount. It doesn't seem cracked, or obviously perished, however I did notice the rubber tended to "bow" out at the sides when I felt it with my fingers. Does this mean it's on it's way out? or should I be look at the front mounts?

I've attached a very rough picture of what it looks like.. may not be entirely accurate in terms of how it sits - but might give you an idea of what I can see. The red shows how the rubber sort of bows out.

Change the motor and transmission mounts. It is in expensive and fairly easy job.
