Jmanuel
Hey guys i'm new here and I was just writing to say hi and ask for some help. I recently got my dad's '98 GS400 handed down to me, and back when he got it he decided to have a carphone installed. Considering that it hasn't been used in about 7 or 8 years and it really isn't all that attractive, I wanted to remove it. The only problem that I have is that it is somehow attached or anchored behind the glove compartment and I'm not exactly sure how I can access it, I've been searching for ways to take down the glove compartment myself I have yet to actually try it, but if I could get any help with that it would be great. Thanks, Jmanuel P.S. If I have to i'll take it to a company to get it removed but I just wanted to see if there was any way for me to do it myself. I know that there is 3 screws on top and 2 screws on the bottom that hold the glove liner in place. If my memory serves me correctly you have to disengage the glove door hinge to get at the 2 bottom screws. Don't hold me to that. I do know it is a straight forward job and takes 5 minutes. How is the phone mounted ?

How is the phone mounted ? Its got a metal hook that goes in next to the stereo to hold it in place(but that just slides out) and then its attached behind the glove compartment, I just wasn't sure how to get to the other two screws, because i can see the top three and those would be easy, just wasn't sure how to go about the other two.
