Step Hen Posted April 7, 2008 Posted April 7, 2008 Does anyone know how to activate the turn-by-turn guidance in a 2004 ES330? My friend says that when you starts the navigation guidance, the route he is supposed to travel shows up red, but there is no voice guidance. Only at the end of the journey does it say anything (you have reached your destination). Is there a settings menu or a volume menu he should go to?

I'm choosing between a 2007 ES350 or 2006 ES330. Can you send me the pdf file for ES330 navigation manual? I want to compare navigation systems before I make my decision because I use it a lot. SW03ES Posted November 19, 2008 Posted November 19, 2008 The systems are almost exactly the same. The 07's has a higher resolution screen and a little bit different interface layout. One big change is that on the '06 there is a hack that allows you to input navigation destinations when driving, on the '07 that hack doesn't work. If you upgrade the navigation DVD on the '06 though it also removes the hack.

SW03ES Posted November 21, 2008 Posted November 21, 2008 No, if you update the system with an 07 or 08 disc it will do away with the workaround that allows you to input destinations when driving. Its not a big deal though, just enter the destinations before you leave. I use mine a lot too (my system has no workaround) and it doesn't bug me.

vbhalla24 Posted October 20, 2015 Posted October 20, 2015 I was able to replace successfully the factory stock Pioneer system on my 2004 Lexus ES330 with aftermarket head unit (GPS, DVD, Radio, etc.) all for less than $250. Here is my installation video for others who may be interested.
