Need Advise Before Purchasing Is350

Recommended Posts

Greetings all, I am new in this forum.

I'm planning to purchase IS350 sooner or later but I have a few questions about it. Therefore, I won't regret and will get the vehicle as I suspected.

1) I would like to purchase the IS350 with the $8629 luxury package with 18inch wheels. Will this package includes the park assist and also sport tune suspension, or I have to get them seperately?

2) What would be the best deal I could get of this car along with the package out the door, based on the invoice price of this car.

Thx guys, I looking forward to be part of this forum's family. For now, I really need you guy's help and wish me the best luck.

You don't get the "Intuitive Parking Assist" with any of the packages being offered. You have to order it as an additional option. Lexus link for IS350 options and packages:

http://www.lexus.com/models/IS/features/pricing.html

You can only get the Sport-tuned suspension with either the Sport package or the X-package, and it's not orderable as an individual option. Here's a website that has a "Build your own" feature showing you what you can/cannot order with each package/option combinations. It also shows you dealer invoice price which can help you figure out if you're getting a good deal. This is provided by Navy Federal Credit Union.

I ordered mine from the factory only 2 weeks ago. It's going to be a long wait for me! It's probably going to take at least 4 months, 3 months if I'm lucky.

Here's what I ordered:

IS350 Obsidian/Black

X-Package

NAV with ML Audio

HID Headlamps with AFS

Dual Sport Exhaust with Rear Ground effect

Rear lip spoiler

Hope this helps.

I understand more about this whole option thing now. Do you know what's the difference between the Luxury plus package and sport package? I notice the only thing is missing from the sport package is the power rear sunshade and that's about it.

Thx for you help and how much did you end up spending on yours? I was told the same thing 16 to 18 weeks to be ordered.

because its the sports package, you also dont get the wood, but some metallic covering, which i personally dont like. other than that, going with the sports package is a great deal.

expect to pay at least close to msrp, because there is a high demand for IS350s now. If you do bargain, you might be able to get at least 2K or so off the price.

I dont really mind not having the wood trim, but thx for the heads up though. Since demand is high right now, should I just wait for it? If I do wait, that means I dont have a car untill then... :cries:

yeah thats the problem. After you figure out what you want, you can tell your lexus dealership to search far and wide for the car you want. and if they find it, they can do a trade off with that dealer and have it shipped to you. Or you can put in an order. If you dont care about color, then picking one off the lot would be the best choice.

hey FoP

i went through the same as you three months ago... but i got so lucky and walked into the IS350 that i wanted... mine is 07 in black sapphire with luxury package with 18" with additional option:

- Lexus voice-activated DVD Navigation System

- Intuitive Parking Assist

- Headlamp washers

- Preferred Accessory Package (includes Cargo net, Trunk mat and Wheel locks)

- Rear spoiler

- Floor mats, all-weather

basically, it's fully loaded minus Mark Levinson.. i think the msrp was 44,500 and i got it for $39,500.. so i got a decent deal. but IS350s are not that popular here in Boston area (NE) because it's rear wheel drive and so... i think that's why i got it pretty much at invoice price. out in cali, like people say, i doubt it'll be that low. you may get lucky though.. but seems like you can't even find the 350 you want in stock

good luck!

I figured out what options I want for my future IS350

-Sport Package

-ML/Nav

-Rear Spoiler

-Park Assist

-Headlamp Washers

-Ground Effect Kit

-All season mats

-Preffered Accessories

With all that options, I'm looking at $40,413 (Based on invoice price) + $3500 (Tax, License, & Registration) and $46,856 (Retail price) + $4000(Tax, License, & Registration).

Wish me luck :( !

well...before you start visiting around the dealers, call them first to see if they have it in inventory. I dont recommend lexus of Marin, i hated buying my IS there. I went to Lexus of Serramonte for my RX and go there for service. I think it is one of the best lexus dealerships out there. Also try lexus of Fremont, and Colliseum Lexus in Oakland.

Go to their websites, call them, ask if they have what you want, and if they dont, question how much/time it takes for it to be ordered.

no hookups yet, im not exactly what they call an important customer who buys a lot of cars.

I emailed 2 dealership this morning and they said that my options combination cannot be done. Were they being truthful to me? What do you guys think?

i think they are lying. part of it might just be there too lazy to check because they have others waiting for their cars. The other part is that they are too lazy to put in an order. This is why i suggest calling them, because conversing with them allows you to be mroe aggressive and you can easily ask the next question without having to wait.

you might just have to order it. If thats the case, just go to your nearest dealer and tell them.
