  1. 1. you must have a short arm or something.. i have no problem with this 2. don't notice this 3. don't press on the break, it doesn't start the engine but turns it on 4. this makes no sense, something wrong with your nav or ur not explaining it right 5. put the damn seat belt on, it's the law and can get u a ticket.. u'll be thankful then lol
  2. does anyone know how to input address via voice command? someone said you can enter street, city, and everything by voice command... thanks..
  3. i'm getting 19-20mpg.. i don't know why you would be running 14mpg... i drive pretty aggressively too.. that's expensive out in cali to be running 14 mpg..
  4. nice, i got black saphire pearl too.. but in black interior.. i don't know if tan goes with dark exterior but looks good! i would take off the herbchambers plate frames off... def tint them windows...
  5. hey FoP i went through the same as you three months ago... but i got so lucky and walked into the IS350 that i wanted... mine is 07 in black sapphire with luxury package with 18" with additional option: - Lexus voice-activated DVD Navigation System - Intuitive Parking Assist - Headlamp washers - Preferred Accessory Package (includes Cargo net, Trunk mat and Wheel locks) - Rear spoiler - Floor mats, all-weather basically, it's fully loaded minus Mark Levinson.. i think the msrp was 44,500 and i got it for $39,500.. so i got a decent deal. but IS350s are not that popular here in Boston area (NE) because it's rear wheel drive and so... i think that's why i got it pretty much at invoice price. out in cali, like people say, i doubt it'll be that low. you may get lucky though.. but seems like you can't even find the 350 you want in stock good luck!
  6. at least you'll get a free bottle of water and capuccino! good luck and let us know how much it cost ya! i am right behind you... gonna go in soon too..
  7. how did you get the pads changed for free? lexus dealers are changing them for free??
  8. get a 350!!! if you are tight for budget, get a used 350... i looked into 250 in the beginning and test drove 250AWD, and 250 manual shift and the major con is they are under powered... then i test drove a 350, i didn't even think twice... i rather get used 350 than a new 250... but that's just me. 100 extra horse for $3-4k... it's well worth it. good luck! oh, i got around the rear wheel drive issue but getting 4 sets of rims with blizzaks ($2000) which is cheaper than AWD option.. and it works great! i just had first snow storm and blizzaks was awesome...
  9. yo.. i am in mass as well.. and i don't have that issue because i have blizzak v-rated tires on and they fly on cold winter road specially when they are dry.. do you have your summer stock tires on? i suggest you switch them to winter tires. also, you can switch on the snow mode which will ease the gas automatically...
  10. hi there, my coworkers told me that people can easily crack smart keys by using a handheld device like dell axim or hp.. apparently they did this test where mercedez dealer had an unbreakable car where they let people try to break in and this one guy walked up (didn't show what he did) and just open the door and drove off.. he had the signal from the smart key intercepted onto his pda and used the signal to open the door.. i don't know if this is true or not.. but if smart key gives off wireless signal, then i may be possible?? people do that all the time with garage openers, right? i figure lexus is smarter and instituted some security onto these smart keys? anyone has any idea? meanwhile, i am staying away from pda and pocket pc's!!!
  11. hi there.. i was also thinking between bmw and lexus.. and good thing you are leaning toward is350.. you just get more for your money plus reliability... i test drove my friend's 07 335i and it's a nice ride but not that much better.. and i didn't like their interior.. anyways, i get about 19-20 mpg according to my meter... but i rev alot so it's probably not a good indication.. i heard some people do get 24/28 and they are surprised about how good gas mileage is on IS's...
  12. joe, i got mine done here http://www.tint-king.com/ located in billerica, ma... when they first did it, they had some bubbles on my driver side window and i brought it back and re did the window without any problem.. overall, it was good and i like it... guys are real nice... i would recommend it.. i think it was like $250 or something..
  13. i completely agree with one swell... and i have tested all of these cars including is350 and ended up buying is350... go buy the feb 2007 issue of road and track on the comparison.. http://www.roadandtrack.com/article.asp?se...article_id=4459 i read the article in print, and they compare everything and is350 comes out on top... i know you are looking at is250 so just less power... or not. maybe you will lean towards is350... and i strongly suggest is350.. only a 3-4k more if you get a good deal.. i bought my 07 is350 with nav and sport pkg for $39.5k.. and is350 is so much better than is250 awd at $33k.. good luck!
  14. Go to a different dealer. Seriously. This is a simple "reprogram" thing that you can even do yourself. If you dealer does not know how to do this simple thing, then they will screw up your car. You can search on here for "sunroof" and/or "learn" an find the proceedure. It goes something like... hold the slide button forward while the car is off, then while continuting to hold - turn on the care to READY. continue to hold for 20-30 seconds and it should reset. I don't remember if does anythign to indicate success, but it should work as expected after the reset. I just got my 07 IS350 this week and had the same sunroof problem! But I did EXACTLY what Skyfish said here and IT WORKED!!! My moonroof is working well now and Lexus doubt is gone... THANKS Skyfish... you saved me a trip to the dealer.. Thank..
