basically it will pick up small bits of dirt and rocks

which are hard to remove without embeding it more in the cars paint

it is a matter of perspective

as a rule of thumb throw it out

but if yo think there is good parts still then i guess you can

it is like spliting hairs if we cannot see it , to judge it

You shouldnt be using the whole clay bar to do the finish anyways, a peice 2 inches by two inches is plenty for the whole car.
