camlex Posted April 14, 2007 Posted April 14, 2007 Hello, I cleaned MAF meter last week and I remember I used CRC TB and Intake cleaner. Got 0150 code. replace O2 sensor. Did i mess up my MAF? Today I bought CRC MAF cleaner and cleaned again. Needs some input. Thanks in advance.
1995_ES300 Posted April 15, 2007 Posted April 15, 2007 I used the same exact stuff on my MAF...and never had a problem. On the back it says it will not leave any residue.
Toysrme Posted April 15, 2007 Posted April 15, 2007 Clean the wire with a q-tip soaked in isopropyl alcohol. Otherwise you know. Check the resistance of it, or the voltage output & see if it's in specification. If you have access to a scanner that can log, or printout the timefreeze data. You can see how much airflow is entering the engine via the maf reading too.
lexusluv Posted April 16, 2007 Posted April 16, 2007 If you have obd II scanner you could do just reset it. When you unplug the MAF sensor connector without unplug the negative battery's terminal the error code would appear thats normal...or it will goes away more less after 4000 miles but its annoying to see the engine light ^_^

Something is still wrong. My cousin said your problem is a short. That's providing you did a OBDII reset.
