PaulLa Posted March 29, 2007 Share Posted March 29, 2007 I just purchased a new Lexus ES350 and the dealer was offering some protective packages at an additional charge, notably Xzilon for the outside and leather...and also something called Lexus extra care and courtesy care platinum for the brakes and tires. Has anyone had any experience with these? Are they worthwhile? I have until Sunday to make my decision on adding any of these, so feedback would be most appreciated! Dealer exploits buyers mental state just after this big decison/expense where extra money to 'protect' the investment is seems small. They are not worth it. Just don't bother. Paint and leather coatings are just gimmicks, you'd be better off taking the awesome cost of these packages and just paying a detailer to maintain the car on a regular basis.
