Does anyone know where I can purchase a code reader for a 1995 ES 300? There's an inexpensive 3173 import code reader that's currently available, but it only shows up to 1993 for Lexus. Has anyone used one on a 1995?

Also, how far can an ES300 be driven before having to change the timing belt? The reason I ask is because I've always driven cars with single or double timing chains that seem to last as long as the engine. Frankly, I'm not in a position to shell out money for a new timing belt, since I just spent money purchasing this vehicle and it only has 80k miles.

They have them on amazon.com, but it says that it's for a post-1996 vehicle. Are you sure it will work properly on a 1995 ES300 V6 engine? Thanks.

good one since I thought OBD2 was 1996 and newer.

Lexus implemented OBD2 into the ES300 before it was industry standard.

I beleive 94+ ES300 are OBD2 compliant.

In 1996, ALL vehicles had to be OBD2 compliant.
