Senia55
Hey I'm new to the forums. Sorry if someone asked this already. I am now due for an oil change and the 'maintenance required' light has turned on and I do not want to pay $250 at the dealer for an oil change. I am going to have my brother do it but he does not know how to reset the light and we tried looking for it in the owners manuel but it does not say how to reset the light. If anyone can please tell me how to reset the light I would appreciate it. (Ohh and I have the keyless start.) Thank you in advance.
djspawn00
I think this should work with your model, its from another post by "steviej" 1. With your car OFF, place your key in the ignition and turn to "On". Do not start the car. 2. Find the odometer button and press until it reads the total odometer setting, (not the Trip A or Trip B setting). 3. Turn the key to OFF. 4. Place your finger back on the odometer button, press and hold. Then while still holding the button, turn the key back to "On" (not START). 5. Hold the odometer button in until the MAINT REQD light goes out...should take about 8-10 seconds.
Rx330driver
those are for the older cars without the push button start. on these new IS cars: replace "turn to "on" with "push start button without pressing brake" the last step: hold it down until you see the animation thing finish off. bartkat
To reset the oil change system, follow the procedure below: 1. Turn the engine switch OFF. 2. While pressing the trip meter reset knob (→P. 100), set the engine switch to the IG-ON mode. Continue to press and hold the knob until the trip meter displays 000000. From the owners manual, 4-3 Do it yourself maintenance. http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index...ost&id=3751
